What We Do To Survive is a collection of real experiences written by survivors of rape, sexual assualt and abuse in their own words, with a focus on recovery.

Those who have suffered rape, assault or abuse may not know where to turn or what to do to begin to get their lives back to normal again.

Here survivors can share their stories about how they began to move on after experiencing trauma, what helped them on their recovery journey, and what they do to survive day-to-day life.

Rape, assault and abuse survivors are frequently misrepresented in the media and are often not supported as they should be by the current legal system. This project aims to help stamp out victim blaming , showing those who have not suffered assault or abuse themselves the realities of how it can affect a survivor’s life.
